New Jersey prepares for COUNTDOWN TO STRIKEDOWN

iReport — Urban Conflict Championship (UCC) invades the Armory in Jersey City, N.J. UCC2 hits New Jersey for the second time with a packed card. Fight promoter Phil Ross has outdone himself by bringing some of the best that this sport has to offer to N.J. Nine bouts are scheduled for this event. A number of big names in the sport, as well as top fighters are expected to show, including New Jerseys own UCF Lightweight Camp Frankie “The Answer” Edger.Fighting in the Main Event is American Eagles Iron Horse MMA Fighter Ryan Contadi. With a 7-2 record he will be taking on 14-7 UFC fighter Dante Rivera who, if you remember, was on the ultimate fighter Reality Show. They will be competing in the 185-middleweight division, both fighters have been training like animals for this, but only one can walk away with the win. A championship is also up for grabs in the 155lb lightweight division between Hitalo Machado (ATT) and John Cholish (Renzo Gracie). This is building up to be one of the greatest nights for UCC as well as MMA fight fans in New Jersey. A sport that has been around for a long time has shown tremendous growth; due to the popular reality show The Ultimate Fighter. One thing is for sure MMA has found a home in New Jersey.
